Day 29 ~ Gazebo

This is from the Gazebo in downtown Pleasant Hill. I thought it looked interesting with the chipped paint and shadows. 

Day 28 ~ Cupcakes!

Day 28's photo is of the cupcakes that my mom made for my birthday. They are delicious and it doesn't help that I am trying to watch what I eat and now I have these delicious cupcakes staring me in the face! lol  I did eat one though, and it was yummy!

Day 027 ~ Dog days

Ana and Dani, our two dogs. They are always by my side, following me wherever I go (which can be annoying at times), but I wouldn't give them up!

Day 026 ~ Night Shots

I need to experiment more with my new lens and long exposure to take some cool night photos. These are just from my back porch, looking at the neighborhood. I converted them to black and white because I think it looks nicer.

Day 024 ~ A day late!

I did take my photo yesterday, but I did not have time to upload it because of my evening class. I got home later and I really didn't feel like getting on the computer, instead, I went to bed!

Day 023 ~ Genealogy

This photo represents another one of my on going projects: Genealogy.  It really fascinates me, and I would really love to delve more into it. I am a novice to genealogy, but I keep learning.  My goals right now are to organize and archive photos and other items of mine, and other photos, writings, et cetera that I have received from relatives.  I definately have a long road ahead of me!

Today's photos are of some fruit! Today was a very dreary day outside, I can't tell you how much I am ready for some warm weather and some sunshine!

Day 021 ~ Freeeeezing!!

Today's photo shows just how cold it is! I am ready for summer!! 

Day 020

It is getting hard to think of or find an image to take everyday. When you're at work all day, that doesn't help either.  It's also very cold outside! I am hoping that when it starts to get warmer and the days start to get longer, that it may not be so much of a challenge...but I wouldn't count on it.

Day 019 ~ Downtown Sunset

I was in a bit of a hurry to take this photo, I had to set the camera on top of my car because I didn't have a tripod. Also, there was another car that was just in the wrong spot. But I still like this photo, I like the reflection of the tree and sunset in my car. 

Day 018 ~ Photos of photos

Another project that I need to begin this year is taking all the photographs that I have, you know, ones before I had a digital camera and just used film, and putting them in scrapbooks or photo albums.  I am leaning toward a scrapbook rather than just a plain photo album.  I'm not really into scrapbooking, I mainly just put the photos in and I skip all the cutting out backgrounds and adding stickers, etc. Even so, I sometimes decorate the pages, and I like to just write about the photo right on the page that I've pasted it on.
Today's photo is of just some of the photos I have, some photos from trips taken to places like Chicago and Colorado, photos of sunsets, and pets. I have a lot more photos like these in a plastic bag!  I think I have a very large project ahead of me!

Day 016 ~ Bicycle

This week's theme is supposed to be sunsets.  However, I found another subject that was more interesting to me at the time.  Today's photo is of a bicycle that was outside of Trade Fair in Harrisonville, MO that caught my eye. If it wasn't so rusty, (so much that the wheels wouldn't really turn), then I might have bought it.

Day 014 ~ Gala

Today's photos are of some yummy cupcakes.  Tonight we were at our chamber of commerce Gala where I was invited to take portraits of attendees. I was able to set up and use my new portable lighting and background.  They also had a nice dinner, and we brought home these cupcakes. 

Day 013 ~ Friday the 13th!

Today I strayed from macro, because I really didn't have an idea of what to take a photo of. I am also getting ready to photograph people (couples) at an event put on by our local chamber of commerce tomorrow night.  I have been setting up my background set and lights and practicing with that, my husband, John, has been my subject.  Even though he hates to have his picture taken, he okayed the posting of the photo below on my blog. :)

Okay, I guess I'm going with the theme of fishing, because today's photo is of a fishing lure that was in my husband's tackle box.

Day 008 ~ Macro

Today started a new week's theme, this week's theme focuses on macro photography. This photo is of a fishing reel that my  husband bought at a garage sale at the end of the summer. Although I am not that into fishing, I think that this reel is nice looking.  This is a close up of one side of the reel.

Today is the last day of the black and white theme. Sunday will begin a new theme!

I really like the repetition in these photos, I think they make a really nice black and white photo.

This photo is of a field that I drive by everyday, I've been meaning to stop and take some photos, so that's what I did today. I may take some more photos during this challenge, maybe different seasons, and also it looks really cool if there is a fog early in the morning. I don't know if I'll catch that, but I'll try.

Day two's photo is of some ceramic flower pots that I got from my grandma.  I really like the vintage look of the flower pots. I couldn't choose between the two photos as to which one was my favorite, so I posted them both. :)

My first photo(s) for day one.  This week's theme is black and white photos.  My husband and I were driving the other day to look at a house for sale, and we went by this Hartzler's Market that is closed. I liked the look of it, and so today we ventured back there so I could photograph it.  I am including two different photos I took from there.
